Greenisland Boys 1 Northend United 1                                                         Saturday 14th February 2015

Northend started slowly but got stronger as the first half progressed and went in front on the seventeenth minute when Connor Meeke scored a great goal when he shot from a tight angle, from twenty five yards out, and watched on as it flew into the net. Northend were well on top and were putting a lot of pressure on the Greenisland back line through overlapping runs from Callum Forsythe at right back and Ross Gamble at right wing and Marc Rainey playing up front . When Greenisland did break they found the Northend defence of Callum Forsythe, Oisin Connelly, Josh Coates  and Ryan Mark in top form. Northend had plenty of possession but couldn't add any more goals to their tally before half time. Half time score 0-1

Northend make a few changes at the break and this seemed to favour Greenisland as Northend struggled to get any momentum during the second half. However the Blues were harshly done when the referee awarded Greenisland a penalty when the ball bounced up and hit a Blues defender between the chest and arm. Greenisland duly converted to draw level in the match. This was Greenisland's first and last shot at the Northend keeper Jason Givens, which was more to do with the great defending from the Blues back-line. Northend had more chances to score but they left their shooting boots at home on Saturday. Final score 1-1

Hillsborough Boys 5 Northend United 0                                                 Saturday 7th February 2015

This score does not reflect the game as Northend had a lot of the possession and had chances in the game to score but the quality in Hillsborough finishing was the difference.
Northend got off to the worse possible start when they fell behind early in the game as two quick goals caught the Blues team out cold. Once the Northend boys settled they started to push the Hillsborough boys back and should have pulled a goal back when a long throw in from Oisin Connelly allowed Adam Mooney to out run his marker and with only the keeper to beat he missed the target.
Northend then had a header cleared off the line when Ryan Boomer jumped the highest to head a Connor Meeke corner kick but it was cleared of the line by the Hillsborough defender. The match went from end to end with both teams creating chances but it remained 2-0 at half time.

The second half started as the first finished with both teams going at each other and the back line of Forsythe, Kirkpatrick and Coates were holding firm and with Oisin Connelly and Rio Dunlop holding their own in midfield Northend were always in with a chance as they were winning plenty of the ball. However the Hillsborough defence was proving hard to break down and when the Northend players did get in behind them their finishing let them down. Northend were dealt a blow when a shot from outside the box took a deflection of a Northend player and sent Jason Givens in the Northend goal the wrong way when he was just about to catch it. Givens in goals had to be quick off his line when he bravely ran out of the box to head the ball clear. In the last few minutes Hillsborough Boys added two more goals when they finished with two high shots into net giving Jason Givens no chance. The whole Northend team put in a great performance and are improving each week in a very competitive league. Final score 5-0

Northend United 2 TTBS 3                                                                            Saturday 24th January 2015

On a hard surface due to a heavy frost Northend put in a hard working display against a very good passing TTBS team but with a new look formation with a back line of Coates, Stewart and Kirkpatrick in outstanding form and Jason Givens in goals dealing well with any balls that came into the box. The game flowed from end to end with both teams cancelling each other out but it was Northend who went in front when Charlie Metrustry volleyed home when a pass from the wing came in and  Metrustry placed the ball into the top corner of the TTBS goal. Northend were well on top now and should have added two more goals before the half time whistle when they had two shot's cleared of the line. Half time score 1-0

Into the second half and Northend was to regret those missed chances as TTBS were to draw level early on in the second half. Northend went in front again with a instead reply when a long pass to McDonald ended with the ball in the back of the net when he shot first time giving the keeper no chance
TTBS came more into the game as Northend lost a few players to sickness and injuries and drew level again and then went in front with 10 minutes remaining to win the game but a great performance from all the players. Final score 2-3
